Resolution: A marine inspection attended the vessel and verified that the doors from the Officer's mess room leading to the galley can have installed hold backs. As the written requirement for prohibited hold backs is for machinery spaces.

Suitable means shall be provided for the zero and span calibration of both fixed and portable cas concentrationmeasurement Instruments. Vessels engineers were unable to demonstrate proper calibration of the inert gas generator Oxygen sensor. Following final attempt to calibrate, when the IGG was in operation -3% O2 was shown.

Resolution: A marine inspector attended the vessel and conducted a calibration test for the inert gas generator, verifying the O2 sensor. A service report was also provided from an outside company, verifying the the correction of the oxygen sensor.
