Electric installations on vessels must ensure: 2. Protection of passengers, crew, other persons, and the vessel from electrical hazards. In the Electronics Space on the 02 deck, numerous electrical deficiencies: 1. A 120v outlet is missing the face plate. 2. The distribution panel is missing a blank on a removed breaker. 3. There is modified wiring, routed over the door on the interior side. The paneling has been pulled back and installed improperly. Correct the above items to the satisfaction of the attending USCG MI within 30 days. 46CFR 111.01-1

A main transverse watertight bulkhead may not have non-watertight penetrations below the bulkhead deck unless the margin line is more than 9 inches below the bulkhead deck at the intersection of the margin line and the line formed by the intersection of the plane of the main transverse watertight bulkhead and the shell. Ventilation ducts penetrating MTWB 74 are non-watertight. Bolted steel plates to make the ventilation ducts watertight have been approved as a temporary repair. Install by 21Jan26.

The exhaust ventilation for the EDG space was unable to be secured during the fire drill without the use of a ladder. It took several minutes to find a ladder and secure ventilation.
