In tankers, electrical equipment, cables, and wiring shall not be installed in hazardous locations unless it conforms with standards not inferior to those acceptable to the organization. Cargo pump room sensors and cable entry into lighting fixtures in cargo pump room do not meet installation requirements for intrinsically safe or explosion proof as they are not installed in accordance with manufactures guidelines. SOLAS 74 (2014 Cons.) II-1/45.11

Resolution: Received, reviewed, and accepted report from [name withheld] stating the deficiency was rectified. Vessel also provided pictures of repaired cargo pump room sensors and cable entry into lighting fixtures in pump room.
