Alcohol testing devices must be used according to the procedures specified by the manufacturer of the testing device. Alcohol test strips onboard were expired. Procure new test strips. To operate in the interim, make arrangements to ensure a test can be completed within 2 hours of a Serious Marine Incident.

contents and instructions. For equivalent kits, the
contents must be stowed in a suitable, watertight

kit must be easily visible and readily available to the
crew. First-aid kit is missing required items and has
expired items. Make kit satisfactory with above
requirement and provide proof to attending Marine
Inspector.

season.
