On a vessel of not more than 19.8 meters (65 feet) in length carrying more than 49 passengers, and on a vessel of more than 19.8 meters (65 feet) in length, the minimum capacity of the fire pump must be 189 liters (50 gallons) per minute at a pressure of not less than 414 kPa (60 psi) at the pump outlet. The pump outlet must be fitted with a pressure gauge. Vessel does not have a pressure gauge installed on the pump outlet or anywhere in the fire main. Provide fitted pressure gauge at the pump outlet and demonstrate pump can produce 50psi to the attending marine inspector. 46 CFR181.300(b)

Provide adequate length of line from painter to life-float to allow life-floats to be launched without cutting painter lines. 46 CFR 180.130(a)(5)
