While adjusting the differential pressure on the automatic F/O filter, a pressure gauge isolating valve head popped off the body. The chief engineer immediately called the bridge and had the officer on watch and the officer on watch stopped the main engine. The F/O pumps were then secured to prevent further F/O leakage.
