Piping shall not be run over or in the vicinity of switchboards or other electrical equipment if avoidable. When such leads are necessary, welded joints only shall be used and provision shall be made to prevent leakage from damaging the equipment. There was an overhead potable water pipe leaking just aft of the port generator. Vessel shall complete permanent repairs to the leaking potable water pipe to resolve the leakage. 46CFR128.220(d) / 46CFR56.50-1(d).

Electrical equipment on a vessel must be designed, installed, and maintained to provide services necessary for safety under normal and emergency conditions. The starboard generator was displaying an error/fault message that could not be cleared or rectified during the inspection. Vessel shall rectify error/fault message and ensure generator is fully operational. 46CFR129.200(a).
