In a ship in which oil fuel is used, the arrangement for the storage, distribution and utilization of the fuel shall be such as to ensure the safety of the ship and persons on board. Boiler fuel oil booster pump was found to be spraying fuel from the pump's seal, creating a fire hazard. SOLAS 74 CH II-2, Reg 4.2.2
