All arrangements used for pilot transfer shall efficiently fulfill their purpose of enabling pilots to embark and disembark safely. The appliances shall be kept clean, properly maintained and stowed and shall be regularly inspected to ensure that they are safe to use. They shall be used solely for the embarkation and disembarkation of personnel. Vessel port side pilot ladder had wastage to shackles, bolts, and lines. Pilot Ladder needs to be replaced. 14SOLAS(74)CH5/23.2.1

Resolved 27 September 2017
Resolution: MSD Port Canaveral got onboard subject vessel and cleared deficiency. Vessel replaced pilot ladder and placed back into service.

SOLAS 74(2009 con) Ch II-2 Reg 14.1.1: Fire protection systems and fire fighting systems and appliances shall be maintained ready for use. Fixed fire fighting system inside of the paint locker is excessively leaking water.

Resolved 11 January 2012
Resolution: The vessel changed out a gate valve that shuts off the fixed firefigting system to the paint locker. Inspectors verified that no water was leaking out of the sprinkler heads with the fire pump running and the gate valve closed. All sat.
