Ballast Tank #2 DB/S has a crack in the sounding tube where the tube passes through the STBD void space. Due to a burst O-Ring in the hydraulic line in the space, hydraulic oil seeped through the crack in the sounding tube allowing oil to enter the ballast tank. Class to attest to repairs prior to the vessel returning to the Great Lakes System.
