During inspection for COI, USCG Marine Inspector found that fire damper for EDG space was hard to operate correctly and that there were several cable runs that were not properly hung with metal bands as per ABS rules.

Design Verification and Periodic Safety Test Procedures (PSTP) documents…must be retained aboard the vessel. The PSTP procedures and documents onboard the vessel are for a “sister vessel” of a different hull number, and the PSTP procedures that the recent attending ABS surveyor was initially able to provide was also for a separate “sister vessel” of a different hull number; in addition, at the time of the inspection, there was no documentation for annual or other frequency PSTP checks that occurred within the preceding 12 months (the last recorded checks were mostly from July through November of 2024). Provide Class approved PSTPs specific to the vessel or Class letter providing that the PSTPs for the other “sister vessels” are approved and acceptable for this specific vessel, and ensure that all PSTPs have been completed/documented for 2025.

Intact stability for cargo and passenger vessels is to comply with the applicable parts of Subchapter S. Vesel has a Trim and Stability booklet that was approved 28OCT2010. Since this time, several modifications have been made to the vessel that include a vehicle ramp that was added to the transom and containers on an upper deck. Additionally, during inspection, vessel did not have Trim and Stability Book or a Stability Letter onboard. Determine need for stability review and make changes as required. Provide updated and approved Trim and Stability Booklet that reflects changes made since 2010 approval. Provide approved Stability Letter. Ensure approved documents are onboard vessel.
