The clip must have a strength of at least 50lbs and allow the water light to be quickly disconnected from the ring life buoy. The vessels COI only requires the carriage of one ring life buoy, any other ring life buoys are additional equipment, as per the regulation, install a corrosion resistant clip to the floating water light. 46 CFR 180.70(d)(3)
