The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of the present regulations to ensure that the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons on board. The pilot reported while heading inbound Delaware River, DE the vessel had a reduction of propulsion due to a cooling jacket water issue on cylinder #6 of the main engine. Coast Guard requires a class report to verify that the deficiency is fully rectified and that the vessel is safe to proceed. 1974 SOLAS (2020) I/11

While testing the emergency generator, PSCO observed a carbon monoxide reading of over 200 ppm in the emergency generator space. 74SOLAS(20) I/11(a) - Code 60

Resolved 10 April 2024
Resolution: Vessel Provided a class report to certify that the space "remains fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons on board". The class survey is attached in the Documents tab of the activity.

The detection of the smoke or other products of combustion shall initiate a visual and audible signal at the control panel and navigation bridge. PSCO was informed that the vessel's smoke detection system (SDS-48) was malfunctioned and recieved air flow fault alarm for cargo holds 3-6. SOLAS 74 (04 Cons) II-2/7.2.2/LSA CODE 10/2.4.1.3 Code 17AC- Updated to 40AC.
