The fire resistance of doors shall be equivalent to that of the division in which they are fitted … Doors and door frames in “A” class divisions shall be constructed of steel. PSCO’s observed 02 doors in the engine room leading into the workshop and adjacent store room by the engine control room were labeled as A-class doors, but a modification was made to allow a rail on the overhead to pass through them. Gaps in bulk head and door would allow for the passage of smoke and flame. Fire control plan marks these two spaces as A-class divisions. 74 SOLAS (2020) II-2/9.4.2.1
