Controlled tank venting systems shall consist of a primary and a secondary means of allowing full flow relief of vapor to prevent over-pressure or under-pressure in the vent of failure of 1 means. Alternatively, the secondary means may consist of pressure sensors fitted in each tank with a monitoring system in CCR. Such monitoring equipment shall also provide an alarm facilit which is activated by detection of overpressure or under-pressure conditions within a tank.
PCBs for tanks slop P and slop S have malfunctioned, and therefore pressure alarms for these tanks currently are not functional (vessel uses pressure sensors and alarms as secondary mans to prevent over and under pressure).
