Vessel carries less than 49 passengers and is between 26 and 65ft thus required to have 1 fixed powered pump and 1 portable hand pump. A portable hand bilge pump must be capable of pumping water, but not necessarily simultaneously, from all watertight compartments and provided with suitable suction hose capable of reaching the bilge of each watertight compartment and discharging overboard. Vessel did not have a portable bilge pump on-board.

The owner or managing operator must provide satisfactory evidence of the required servicing to the marine inspector. If any of the equipment or records have not been properly maintained, a qualified servicing facility may be required to perform the required inspections, maintenance procedures, and hydrostatic pressure tests. Fixed-gas fire extinguishing system installed in E/R was last annually serviced on July 2022 by Marine Fire Protection. System is required to be serviced annually by certified servicing company.
