A vessel that is exposed to salt water more than three months in any 12 month period since the last examination must undergo a drydock examination and an internal structural at least once every two years. Vessel is overdue for drydock examination due January 31st, 2025. Vessel is to complete a satisfactory drydock examination prior to carrying passengers. 46 CFR 176.600 (c) (1)

Each vessel certificated to operate on a limited coastwise route within three miles of land in cold water must be provided with an inflatable buoyant apparatus (IBA) of an aggregate capacity that will accommodate at least 67% of the total number of persons permitted on board; or life floats of an aggregate capacity that will accommodate at least 100% of the total number of persons permitted on board. IBA listed on COI was not on-board vessel, all equipment listed on COI is required to be on-board vessel when passengers are carried unless authorized by OCMI.

A vessel must be provided with bilge pumps in accordance with Table 182.520(a). Vessel carries less than 49 passengers and is between 26 and 65ft thus required to have 1 fixed powered pump and 1 portable hand pump. A portable hand bilge pump must be capable of pumping water, but not necessarily simultaneously, from all watertight compartments and provided with suitable suction hose capable of reaching the bilge of each watertight compartment and discharging overboard. Vessel did not have a portable bilge pump on-board.

For fixed-gas fire extinguishing systems, the inspections and tests required by Table 176.810(b) of this section, in addition to the tests required by 46 CFR 147.60 and 147.65. The owner or managing operator must provide satisfactory evidence of the required servicing to the marine inspector. If any of the equipment or records have not been properly maintained, a qualified servicing facility may be required to perform the required inspections, maintenance procedures, and hydrostatic pressure tests. Fixed-gas fire extinguishing system installed in E/R was last annually serviced on July 2022 by Marine Fire Protection. System is required to be serviced annually by certified servicing company.

At each initial and subsequent inspection for certification of a vessel, the owner or managing operator shall be prepared to conduct tests and have the vessel ready for inspection of lifesaving equipment and systems, including inflatable buoyant apparatus. IBA was not available for inspection as it was being serviced by servicing facility. Provide service report once IBA is reinstalled on vessel. Prior to operating in cold waters

Your vessel must undergo an annual inspection within 3 months before or after each anniversary date of the COI. Vessel exceeded 3 month interval on 05DEC2020. Vessel is required to complete a satisfactory annual inspection prior to carrying passengers.

Due to COVID-19 circumstances beyond the control of the vessel, the vessel is unable to meet the timeframe required by 46 CFR 176.107. Vessel is allowed 90 days to continue operations in accordance with the COI, and is required to make itself available for inspection prior to 30JUN2020. Issued CG-835v code 705c to extend Drydock exam 90 days.

Ensure one or more placards meeting the requirement of this section are posted. Garbage discharge placard is faded. Replace garbage discharge placard.

Placards containing instructions for the donning and use of the lifejackets onboard must be posted. Current life jacket placard is faded. Replace life jacket instruction placard.

A durable placard must be posted next to all radiotelephone installations. Wordson emergency broadcast placard are faded. Replace emergency broadcast placard.

Your vessel must undergo an annual inspection within the 3 months before or after each anniversary date. Vessel exceeded 3 month interval on 04DEC18. Vessel required to undergo satisfactory annual inspection prior to carrying passengers.

Complete satisfactory drydock/hull examination.
