The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of the present convention to ensure that the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea without presenting an unreasonable threat of harm to the marine environment.
The vessel suspects a bunker fuel leak from the 1S fuel tank is leaking fuel into the ballast discharge line. The vessel was issued a NOV for discharge of oil into U.S. waters by Sector Houston-Galveston IMD. The vessel shall submit a repair plan and class report attesting that repairs have been conducted prior to arrival at next U.S. port after sailing foreign.
