All tank vessels, the construction or conversion of which is started on or after July 1, 1951, shall conform to the requirements in this subpart in construction of hulls. A top layer of oil was found in the #1 P ballast tank. Determine the source of the oil and Make repairs to the satisfaction of the Coast Guard prior to cargo operations.

Resolution: Recieved report from ABS attesting to repairs of cracked pating found on tank boundary between 1P cargo and 1P ballast tank. Bottom corner radius was cropped and renewed utilizing insert approximately 500mm x 400mm x 1/2" thick plate. Finding number 134.
