A chemical tanker shall comply with the requirements of the International Bulk Chemical Code. The stowage space shall be cell-divided in order to avoid shifting of the bottles at sea. Samples which react with each other dangerously shall not be stowed closed to each other. Cargo samples are stowed atop one another and are not stowed within cell divided locations. PSCO noted caps for several cargo sample bottles were not tightened, allowing cargo to spill from jars and have rendered labels unreadable, preventing PSCO from verifying cargo sample storage compatibility. 74SOLAS(14) VII/10.1 Ref IBC 16.5.2.1 & 16.5.3 16c
