THE DESIGN SHALL HAVE REGARD TO MATERIALS USED IN CONSTRUCTION, THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT WILL BE SUBJECTED AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ON BOARD. PSCO OBSERVED POOLING OIL IN THE ENGINE ROOM ON THE MAIN ENGINE, BY A FUEL OIL PURIFIER, AND ON PIPING LAGGING. PSCO OBSERVED GENERAL LACK OF CLEANLINESS WITHIN THE STEERING GEAR ROOM. 74 SOLAS (04) II-1/26.1

Resolution: Received, reviewed and accapted class report from DNV GL stating the deficiency was rectified. Both deck lines were painted white by the ship's crew and subsequently surveyed by the DNV GL surveyor.
