The inspection (for certification) is to ensure that the vessel is in satisfactory condition and fit for the service for which it is intended, and that it complies with the applicable statutes and regulations for such vessels. Vessel was unable to complete inspection for certification due to water found in fuel tank that prevented operation of vessel machinery. Items to be made available for inspection: - Drills - Hydraulic steering fluid, bilge, general, and fire detection alarms - Operation of all machinery and steering - Single station smoke detector in crew's space - Location of 160B semi-portable fire extinguisher
