07102 - Inert Gas System - When carrying cargoes described in 1.6.1, the requirements for inert gas systems (IGS) in the FSS Code need not be applied to chemical tankers, provided that they comply with the requirements for IGS on chemical tankers based on guidelines developed by the Organization. Instrumentation shall be fitted for continuously indicating & permanently recording the oxygen content in the inert gas supply main. Vessel's nitrogen generator's oxygen analyzer was not operational. 74SOLAS(14)II-2/4.5.5.2.1.1;IMO Res. A567(14)
