Machinery and electrical systems must be designed and maintained to provide for safe operation of the towing vessel and safety of persons on board. Pressure relief valves on the two compressors supplying air to the vessel's sole pressure vessel had no record of install date or last service. Prove these pressure relief valves were tested at frequency required by 46 CFR 143.245(b), or install new pressure relief valves.

Two Class 1 watertight doors (WTD) have dogs that are worn, missing or bound tight. The port aft WTD, top right dog handle bushing is worn out and the bottom left dog handle is bound and inoperable. The forward gear locker WTD has a missing dog handle on the lower left corner.
