Before the ship leaves port and at all time during the voyage, all life-saving appliances shall be in working order and ready for immediate use Te port-side lifeboat did not initialy start. After 30 minutes crew replaced batteries and were able to start lifeboat 74SOLAS(20) III/20.2

Rudder angle indicators were not reading properly. Crew determined that the linkage rod from the steering gear to the main electric transmitter motor was loose and not mounted properly. Crew adjusted linkage rod per design specifications. Tested and verified rudder angle indicator readings both locally and remotely; all readings consistent and satisfactory.
