74 SOLAS (2011) 31.1.1, LSA Code 4.4.8.12; Except where otherwise stated, normal equipment of every lifeboat shall consist of a food ration... these rations shall be kept in airtight packaging and be stowed in a watertight container. Over half the rations in both lifeboats had small holes allowing air into packaging. Crew replaced with spares.
