Resolution: Received, reviewed and accepted class report from BV stating the deficiency was rectified. Condition of class was issued to make permanent repairs to the piping.

After any survey of the ship has been completed, no change shall be made in the structural arrangements, machinery...without the sanction of the adminstration. PSCO's identified modifications to the main engine which has resulted in jacket water leaking from the engine cylinder cover. Several washers/spacers installed between the fastening screws and the surface of the cylinder cover. 74SOLAS(14) I/ REG 11.b

Resolution: Received, reviewed and accepted class report from BV stating the deficiency was rectified. Surveyor observed no water jacket leaks for the cylinder heads and didn't identify any other issues.
