WHERE FLEXIBLE NONMETALLIC HOSE IS PERMITTED FOR HTE USE IN PIPING SYSTEMS BY THIS SECTION, IT MUST MEET SAE-J-1942. THE FUEL HOSE FITTED ON THE AFT FUEL TANK DID NOT MEET THESE STANDARDS. REPLACE HOSE WITH APPROVED SAE-J-1942 HOSE WITH APPROVED BULKHEAD PENETRATIONS SAE-J-1527. TO BE RECTIFIED BY COMPLETION OF THE NEXT DRYDOCK IN AUGUST 2020.

SHUTOFF VALVES INSTALLED SO AS TO CLOSE AGAINST THE FUEL FLOW. THE SHUTOFF VALVE AT THE TANK MUST BE MANUALLY OPERABLE FROM OUTSIDE THE COMPARTMENT IN WHICH THE VALVE IS LOCATED. BOLT ON THE SHUTOFF VALVE IS STRIPPED. REPLACE WITH A NEW WORKING HANDLE.

EXHAUST GAS MUST NOT LEAK FROM THE PIPING OR ANY CONNECTIONS. BOTH MAIN ENGINES HAVE EXHAUST LEAKS, ROUTE CRANKCASE EXHAUST PROPERLY.
