Piping systems and fittings shall be of a design and struction adequate for intended service. PSCO observed nonmetallic freshwater piping between two fire boundaries on the main deck leading to the engine room that was sagging between brackets and wrapped at flanges and valves. Request clarification from certificate issuing authority for continued acceptance of subject piping system. 74solas(20) II-1/26.1

All ships of 500GT and upwards shall have a gyro-compass heading repaeater to supply heading information visually at the emergency steering position. PSCO observed a compass deviation of over 50 degrees in steering gear room. 74SOLAS(20) V/19.2.5.2
