Oily water separator is shutting down due to system malfunction. Bilge water holding tank increases to 18m3, vessel is to offload bilge water shore. MARPOL 73/78 Annex I/14.6

Resolution: Received ABS statement of fact as well as transfer of class documentation attesting to the vessel being fitted with a vapor control system that is in accordance with the applicable requirements of ABS rules. ABS will not reissue the BV approval letter.

The vessels IGS is required to have an audible and visual alarm for high gas pressure. The pressure transmitter is currently inoperable, making the system unable to alarm if the IGS pressure is too high. Vsl cannot load or discharge cargo that requires the use of inert gas in the US until proper operation of this alarm is proven. Correct to the satisfaction of class. SOLAS 09 CONS. II-2/4.5.5.2.1
