ICLL (88 Prot.) Reg. 25(2) ICLL (88 Prot.) Reg. 25(3) Efficient guard rails or bulwarks shall be fitted to all exposed parts of the freeboard and superstructure decks. The openings below the lowest course of the guard rails shall not exceed 230mm. The other courses shall not be more than 380mm apart. While conducting the deck walk, PSCO discovered two missing bottom guard rails, at frames #45 port side and frame #130 starboard. Additionally PSCO discovered 03 damaged guard rails at frame #76 bottom rail port side, frame #74 middle rail port side, and frame #61 bottom rail starboard side.

15 ppm sensor gave an error message on each attempted test. Troubleshooting section of unit's ops manual suggested cleaning the sensor eye or replacing the sensor eye entirely. Cleaning did not rectify the problem, technician will attend unit at earliest opportunity. MSU Port Arthur will clear deficiency upon receipt of repair/testing report.
