01: The normal equipment of every lifeboat shall consist of: watertight receptacles containing a total of 3L of fresh water as described in paragraph 4.1.5.1.19 - Each container shall be clearly marked with he date of expiry, the production lot number, the quantity of water, and the instructions for consumption. Upon inspecting both port and starboard lifeboats, PSCO found that the emergency water rations were held in 2 tanks, totaling 80L per lifeboat. The crews standard procedure was to refill the tanks on a monthly basis. The tanks did not meet the requirements set forth on paragraph 4.1.5.1.19 of the LSA code. 74 SOLAS (20) III/31.1.1 LSA 4.4.8.9
