Crew could not demonstrate lowering of port and starborad lifeboats during initial abandonship drill. Hydraulic winch could not be operated & did not respond to handcrank during drill to lower to embarkation deck. Crew was able to demonstrate satisfactory lowering & raising of starboard lifeboat. Class society to attest to proper operation & functionality to port launching appliaces for lifeboat
