To assist in casualty investigations, ships, when engaged on international voyages, subject to the provisions of regulation 1.4, shall be fitted with a voyage data recorder (VDR). PSCO observed VDR not operating.

Resolution: Received class report from DNV Surveyor stating all outstanding deficiencies have been rectified. The class report stated:that a VDR technician came on board and replaced the main board with a new one, swapped the SATA cables for HDD(M) and HDD(s) cables.
The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of present convention to ensure in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea with out presenting an unreasonable threat of harm to the marine environment. PSCO observed that the vessel documented discharging 6.6 cubic meters of bilge water through the vessels oily water seperator from 0800 to 0955 GMT on the 14th of September 2018. The resultant discharge averaged approximately 3.45 cubic meters per hour. The vessel IOPP form B states the approved oily seperator has a maximum throughput of2.5 cubic meters per hour.

Resolution: Recieved class report that stated that the OWS was tested and performed in accorcance with IOPP.
