In addition to the requirements contained elsewhere in the present regulations, ships shall be designed, constructed and maintained in compliance with the structural, mechanical, and electrical requirements of a classification society. PSCO observed a stream of cooling water coming from generator 2.

To assist in casualty investigations, cargo ships, when engaged on international voyages, shall be fitted with a VDR. PSCO observed VDR control displaying "Lost ECDIS" error.

The following functional requirements shall be met: ignition sources shall be separated from combustible materials and flammable liquids. PSCO observed several oil soaked rags tucked on top of crank case of ships service generators and main engine.

Resolved 28 August 2025
Resolution: Crew removed the oil soaked rags from the generators and main engine while PSCO was onboard.

Resolution: ABS surveyor attended MV EVER SUMMIT and verified circuit breakers were adequately installed with regard to their proper amperage rating.
