Each emergencey generator set arranged to be automatically started shall be equipped with starting devices approved by the administration with a stored energy capacity of at least three consecutive starts. A second source of energy shall be provided for an additional three starts within 30 mins unless manual started can be demonstrated to be effective. Secondary hydraulic start was not able to start generator. During test, hydraulic pump assembly leaked oil throughout the compartment.

At least two inert gas blowers shall be fitted and be capable of delivering to the cargo tanks at least the volume of gas required by pragraph 2.2.1.2. #2 IGG Blower was not operating as designed. Solenoid at motorized valve was defective.

The company should establish procedures to ensure that the ship is maintained in conformity with the provisions of the relevant rules and regulations with any additional requirements which may be established by the company. In meeting these requirements, the company should ensure that: Appropriate corrective action is taken. During PSC Exam identified numerous systems not being reppaired in accordance with SMS procedures. It is recommended company conduct a revision to onboard operations in regards to repairs of equipment.
