The normal equipment of every lifeboat shall consist of a food ration totaling not less than 10,000 Kj for each person the lifeboat is permitted to accommodate; these rations shall be kept in airtight packaging. Due to missing/damaged food rations the port and starboard lifeboats are missing 343,572 Kj. 74SOLAS(14)III/13.1.4; LSA 4.4.8.12; 17c
