The inert gast system shall be capable of inerting, purging, and gas freeing empty tanks with the required oxygen content. IGG is not operational, preventing ship's crew from inerting, purging, and gas freeing cargo tanks. Vessel is restricted from cargo operation until IGG is fully operational and alarms and shutdowns are tested by a Marine Inspector. SOLAS(04) Ch. II-2, Regulation 4.5.5.3.1

Resolution: DNV-GL submitted class report attesting to repairs and operation of IGG. MI attended vessel and observed operational test of alarms and shutdowns.
Lifesaving › Rescue Boat › Hull (inflated)

0615 - Rescue Boat - Before the ship leaves port and at all times during the voyage all life saving appliances shall be in good working order and ready for immediate use. PSCO observed that the starboard inflatable sponson was deflated on the rescue boat. Upon further inspection, PSCO observed a patch on the starboard quarter. After witnessing third officer test patch with soapy water which demonstrated a leak, PSCO observed three other patches on the interior of the lifeboat sponsons near the transom. Resolved 17 May 2018
Resolution: Crew temporarily made a replacement fitting by welding the fitting to a replacement compression fitting. This repair considered temporary, an OEM fitting to be procured and replaced. Class imposed a due date of 16JUL18. PSCO confirmed same visually.

Resolution: Reviewed Class Report from DNV-GL stating Repair was conducted on board, with no further items noted. River conditions (current) do not allow for safe launching of rescue boat. Condition of Authority (CA) is created to require rescue boat water launching.
