11135-Maintenance of Life Saving Appliances-Maintenance, testing, and inspections of life-saving appliances shall be carried out based on the guidelines developed by the organization to ensuring reliability of such appliances. PSCO found that no weight rest was conducted after replacement of wire rope on free fall life boat, lifeboat davit, rescue boar davit, life raft davit, and accommodation ladder as required by MMSC CIRC 402(96) 6.3.1. SOLAS 74(14) III 20.3.1

Cargo Ports and other similar openings in the sides of the ship below the freeboard deck shall be fitted with doors so designed as to ensure watertightness. Cable in the pulley mechanism for the stern ramp ran out of its track causing closure of the stern ramp inoperable.

Resolution: Reviewed and accepted class report from DNV-GL attesting to proper repair to pulley system. def cleared.
