The inert gas system(N2) shall be designed to ensure that if the oxygen content exceeds 5% by volume the inert gas shall automatically be vented to atmosphere. Resolution: Recieved class report and corrective action IAW with the vessel's SMS. Ships officers were given training on the calibration of the O2 sensor and a technician tested the system and ensured proper calibration of the O2 sensor.

0630 - launch arrangt. for survival craft - The liferrafft painter system shall provide a connection between the ship and the liferaft and shall be so arranged as to ensure that the liferaft when released and, in the case of an inflateable liferaft, inflated is not dragged under by the sinking ship. PSCO observed that the painter line was not connected to the weak link. 74 SOLAS (14) III/34 10c
