PSCO DISCOVERED AIR PIPE FROM ENGINE SUMP TANK WITH BROKEN GASKET LEAKING OILY LIQUID AND VAPOR ONTO IGS SCRUBBER. CREW REPLACED GASKET.

The condition of the ship and its equip shall be maintained to conform with provisions of the present regulations to ensure that the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea w/o danger to the ship or persons on board.
Cargo pump room found unsafe for workers by marine chemist. marine chemist reported finding a leak on what the crew reported to be a vacuum pump related to the cargo pump system. USCG uncomfortable entering space until system leaking is repaired to the sat of the issuing authority of the solas safety construction cert. to which the cargo pump room is covered: DNV Class society.
