Stairways and lift trunks which penetrate more than a single deck shall be surrounded by at least "A-0" class divisions and be protected by self-closing doors at all levels. "Food Lift" from Galley, which penetrates two decks, leading to the Dry-Provision Room, is not fitted with self-closing devices. Doors are labeled as A-class self-closing doors on the Fire Control Plan and on the physical door in the Galley, but not labeled in the Dry-Provision Room. 74 SOLAS (14) II-2/ 9.2.3.4.1.
