All ships of 10,000 gross tonnage and upwards shall meet the requirement of paragraph 2.7, with the esception of paragraph 2.7.2. The vessel's S-band radar was inoperable at the time of inspection. 74SOLAS(14)V/19.2.9, 17bc. On 17 September vessel was issued an LOD and the code was changed to 16bc: rectify within 14 days.

Such penetrations shall be suitably isulated of the insulation at the same level of the division. PSCO observed fire boundary penetrations were made for CCTV cable installations without appropriate insulation. 74SOLAS(04) II-2/9.3.1, 50ac.

1510-Navigational Equipment - To assist in casualty investigations, cargo ships, when engaged on international voyages, shall be fitted with a VDR which may be a SVDR. Vessel's VDR is currently inoperable due to a lightning strike that struck the vessel.- SOLAS 14 CH.V REG. 20.1 (40b/c). Received Flag dispensation letter allowing the vessel to sail with inoperable VDR until October 22, 2018. Deficiency due date now reflects that of the dispensation letter.
