When the emergency fire pump is delivering the quantity of water required by paragraph 2.2.1.1, the pressure at any hydrants shall not be less than the minimum pressure required by chapter II-2 of the Convention. The minimum pressure referred to in paragraph 2.2.1.2 should be understood to mean 0.27 N/nm2. PSCO observed the pressure was weak from the port side fire hose while testing the emergency fire pump. For this purpose, the following functional requirements shall be met: means shall be provided to control the leaks of flammable liquids. PSCO observed fuel oil leaks on: 1. Fuel oil pumps on #2 and #3 ships service generators. 2. pressure regulating valve on fuel oil supply system for ships service generators. 3. Fuel line on #2 HFO purifier. Solas 74(a) 2009 Cons. II-2/4.1.1 17ac 16May2022: Updated deficiency to a due date of 7/15/2022 to align with class's findings. "Issued a Condition of Class for No.2 HFO purifier oil supply & discharge lines replace when spare parts are received onboard."
