All vessel except non-self propelled vessels shall be provided with suitable steering apparatus. The tie bar linkage on the vessel's dual rudder steering system was found to have visible deflection. Repair or replace linkage to the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector. 46 CFR 182.30-1

A pre-engineered fixed gas fire extinguishing system must automatically shut down all ventilation and engines that draw air from within the protected space. Vessel's generator in the engine was not wired into the fireboy system to automatically shut down the engine upon activation. Vessel is restricted to operation without generator running only, unitl generator shutdown is properly added to fireboy circuit.
