Nonmetallic flexible hose is acceptable if it is fabricated with an inner tube and a cover of synthetic rubber or other suitable material reinforced with wire braid in accordance with SAE J1942. Generator supply and return hoses do not meet the standard without an additional fire sleeve. Install approved fire sleeve or new hoses meeting J1942.

All lifesaving equipment must be tested and maintained in accordance with the minimum requirements of 46 CFR 199.190 as applicable; the vessel's life raft was not in compliance with annual servicing requirements. Must have life raft serviced or provide new serviced life raft appropriate to COI requirements.
A new raft was obtained but its documentation showed a discrepancy for the manufactured date vs inspected date. Instructed Master to contact servicer to issue accurate documentation. CG to follow up with servicer.
