IMO and CO2 symbols on exterior accommodation and on the hatches are faded/weathered. To be replaced with new IMO symbols at locations per approved vessel's fire/safety plans.

A fixed gas fire extinguishing system shall comply with the FSS Code. The piping for distribution of the fire extinguishing medium shall be arranged and discharge nozzles so positioned that a uniform distribution of the medium is obtained. Identified corroded piping at the fixed gas fire extinguisher manifold in the CO2 space. Identified corroded flexible hose connections to the manifold and CO2 bottles. Inspector is unable to verify if the manifold piping is sufficient to distribute the fire extinguishing medium based on the condition of the piping and flexible connections. Provide a repair proposal in accordance with DNVGL glass rules to the OCMI for review/approval.

A fixed gas fire extinguishing system shall comply with the FSS code. The necessary pipes for conveying fire extinguishing medium into the protected spaces shall be provided with control valves so marked as to indicate clearly the spaces to which the pipes are led. At each location there shall be clear instructions relating to the operation of the system having regard to the safety of the personnel. The CO2 manifold and each individual bottle for the distribution to the cargo bays is not identified clearly as a manual control valve for that space. Each bottle used for the cargo bays must be individually opened when applying CO2 to the cargo bays. Mark the CO2 manifold for controlling the fire extinguishing medium to the cargo bay.
