Every vessel subject to Part III of Title III of the Communications Act must have a detailed inspection of the radio installation by an FCC-licensed technician in accordance with § 80.59 once every five years. Operator was not able to produce radio telephony certificate. Vessel is restricted to 1000ft from shore until certificate is obtained.

46 CFR 177.100: The construction and arrangement of a vessel must allow the safe operation of the vessel in accordance with the terms of its Certificate fo Inspection. Center stanchion framing in deck compartment is cracked and completely failed. 2 forward seats have cracked welds.
Repair cracks on all failed welds to the satisfaction of CG Marine Inspector.

Adult and child sized life jackets were found stored together with no division between the two, nor any markings identifying quantity inside. Vessel must appropriately mark location and quantity and in addition add separation so the child size life jackets cannot be mistaken for adult life jackets.
