Machinery systems must be designed and maintained to provide for safe operation of the towing vessel under normal and emergency conditions. Vessel suffered clutch fire to the center reduction gear. Vessel is authorized to transit to James Marine in Wickliffe, KY for repairs. Repairs to be made to the satisfaction of vessel's Third Party Organization, American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). TPO to provide report US Coast Guard Sector LMR within 72 hours of clearing the deficiency.
