A towing vessel subject to Subchapter M and choosing the Coast Guard inspection option, or required to have the Coast Guard inspection option, must undergo an annual inspection within 3 months before or after the COI anniversary date. (a) Owners and managing operators must contact the cognizant Officer in Charge, Marine Inspection (OCMI) to schedule an inspection at a time and place the OCMI approves. No written application is required. Vessel owner/operator has not requested an Annual Inspection. Vessel is beyond 3 months after the COI anniversary date. Vessel is authorized to complete contracted work in West Arkansas and is instructed to return to port no later than 11Feb2025 and prepare for COI Renewal inspection on 12Feb2025.
