Overhead in forward portion of the engine room is wasted. Steel plate was placed in the laundry room and the bathroom/shower area. The metal is holed allowing air from the enging room into the spaces. Concerns about exhaust gas and possible fire spread into crew spaces. Crew placed temp patches and will submit proposal for proper repairs.
